A simple measure that is low risk is drinking 1-2 glasses of water before you eat as it makes you feel more full.  A simple study in 2010 found that in overweight and obese middle-aged and older adults on a low calorie diet, drinking water before each main meal aided weight loss. In 48 adults aged 55-75 years who were overweight, those who consumed 500 mL of water prior to each daily meal had a 44% greater decline in weight over 12 weeks than did individuals on the same diet who didn’t have water before meals.

Hence this is an easy and safe way to boost your weight loss.
