An estimated 30% of patients who are obese have an eating disorder. This might include behaviours like severe binge eating, purging which means you might force yourself to vomit or have diarrhoea, lack of ever feeling full, severe food-seeking behaviour, a night-eating syndrome where you might wake during the night to feed, and there are others.
It is not within the scope of this course to diagnose or treat you for these disorders so please seek professional support as soon as practically possible. There is effective professional help you can get. If you need to speak to someone now and you are based in Australia or the USA, then there are resources below. I wish you all the best.
